The best new restaurant in Tallinn is definitely Restaurant 38. I went to eat with the highest expectations and left even more impressed.
The Michelin Restaurant Guide published for the first time in May in Estonia. Locals expected 38 to be on the list. And truly it happened: 38 is one of the recommended restaurants.
However, there are no newcomers to restaurateurs. The summer restaurant Mere 38 Resto has been operating in the coastal village of Võsu near Käsmu for a long time. Last winter, restaurateurs opened a pop-up restaurant in Tallinn, which gained great popularity. Logically, a whole new restaurant was born, called 38.
Restaurant 38 is visually a charming and stylish place. That's why it's worth a visit. But the most essential thing is imaginative and border-stretching food, the preparation of which does not fear risks. Desserts, in particular, are astounding. Although 38 is a fine-dining spot, the atmosphere is quite relaxed.
Estonians think that the place is a bit expensive but it is relatively moderate compared to the star restaurants in Helsinki.
Restoran 38 is located in the old town at Olavimägi 9, the exact location of the restaurant Ore / Bocca. The restaurant is open in the evenings, on Sundays and on Mondays.
