Absolut Art Collection in Stockholm

So you think museums are boring or only meant for dreary people? And the best museums for you are the ones you are able to avoid? There’s a good opportunity to change your mind in Stockholm on the island of Djurgården. It's a pure expressions of joy of living and meant especially for an adult audience.

The Museum of Spirits is a unique destination located in Stockholm’s two remaining 18th-century naval buildings. With a focus on the Swedish people’s bittersweet relationship to alcohol, the museum exhibitions will take you on an unforgettable journey from pain to pleasure, from park bench to cocktail party, based on art, scenery, experience, scents and tastes.

If you are connected in any way to advertising, marketing, branding or art, the Absolut Art Collection is a must. The first major presentation of the famous Absolut Art Collection includes works by Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Ed Ruscha, Annie Leibovitz and other international icons, together with Swedish artists such as Linn Fernström, Dan Wolgers and Ola Billgren.

The Face It! exhibition is the first major retrospective exhibition of works from the Absolut Art Collection, and can be seen as a cross-section of the art world of the 1980s and 1990s; an era defined by the glitterballs at studio 54 in New York, the first victims of the AIDS epidemic, the fall of the Berlin wall and the birth of the internet age. Face It! will be open to the public until 1 September.
